Bench-level QC checklist that works

I’m assembling a bench-level QC checklist for small shops and want to compare notes. My current template flags any ATP swab over 100 RLU on knives and benches, mandates an 82°C knife dip and an ice-point thermometer check at 6 a.m.; does that align with what you can realistically run during a 10-hour cutting day, or do you use different thresholds or timing?

On a 10-hour day we do a lunch ATP spot-check (2 benches, 2 knives): ≤150 RLU on benches mid-run, keep knives ≤100 RLU right after breaks; the ‘82°C knife dip’ works, but we run a probe + timer to verify ≥82°C for 30 sec each hour and swap pots if it falls under 80°C — treat it like an espresso machine, fussy but worth it. Would shifting the ice-point check to first use per thermometer be easier than one 6 a.m. check?

I find using a dedicated battery charger while coding can help prevent those voltage drops; i usually keep it locked at a steady 13.5V; it’s made a difference for me! Have you tried that approach?
