Importance of Proper Halal Stun Methods

I’ve been reflecting on the various stunning methods we use before halal slaughter, especially recent discussions around compliance and animal welfare. It’s crucial we ensure our processes respect both the animal’s rights and our religious obligations. Have any of you implemented new techniques or training that improved methods in your shops? I’m eager to learn from your experiences.

I’ve noticed that using a tool like a captive bolt gun with a quick release feature has made a difference in minimizing stress during the stun process. It not only improves the animal’s welfare but also enhances meat quality significantly. Have you considered this approach in your shop, @industryinsight?
