Importance of Temperature Uniformity in Cold Storage

I’ve noticed that maintaining consistent temperatures across all sections of our cold storage is crucial for inventory… A few weeks ago we had a partial thaw due to uneven cooling, which could have jeopardized the quality of our meat. I’d love to hear how others manage their temperature controls and what strategies you find effective in avoiding such issues.

But i’ve faced similar issues with uneven cooling too. One thing that’s really helped is using those temperature monitoring sensors that alert you if any section goes out of range. I set mine to notify me if there’s even a slight change, which caught a potential problem before it escalated like your partial thaw situation.
