Improving cross-training on the floor

And i’ve been noticing gaps in our team’s cross-training, which impacts our efficiency during busy hours. Recently, we had a situation where only one person could handle a specific cut, slowing down our workflow. I’m looking for effective strategies or tools you’ve used to ensure everyone can cover key roles seamlessly.

I used to have a similar issue, but incorporating a buddy system really helped. Pairing up team members for specific cuts during peak hours not only improved efficiency but also built confidence in our newer staff. Sometimes, just making them work together a few times can bridge that training gap.
