I’d add a “supervisor release” reason code in SoftLab that forces initials + a short note on any override, auto‑emails Quality, and feeds a weekly exception report tied to the order and instrument. If policy says “manual review required,” only that code can push it through; otherwise it stays hard‑held. TAT’s the pizza timer, but don’t serve it half‑baked — can your LIS admin add that code without breaking the current middleware rules?
