Sharing my par tracker, need FEFO labeler advice

I built a one-page par and yield sheet that cut our Monday out-of-stocks by about 50% and kept the case looking full without overtrim. I can share it if helpful; meanwhile, any recommendations for a reliable, sub-$600 printer that does 2x1 FEFO date labels before our 2 p.m. vendor cutoff?

But i’ve had good luck with the Zebra ZD410 for “2x1” FEFO labels — reliable, under $400, and with the RTC option you can auto-stamp dates so you’re ready before the 2 p.m… cutoff. Small caveat: use top‑coated direct‑thermal with freezer‑grade adhesive and drop print darkness a notch to avoid fogging on cold wrap. Do you need USB-only or Ethernet/Bluetooth?

I like @jstewart25’s take, and if you need cheaper, the TSC TDP‑225 with the RTC add-on does 2x1 FEFO cleanly and stays well under $300 — fast enough to beat a 2 p.m. cutoff. Set a template with “Packed” auto-stamped and “Use by” +X days tied to your par/yield sheet, and make sure you buy freezer-grade adhesive so they don’t peel in a wet case. Do you want Ethernet at the table, or is USB from the grind station fine?

“One-page par” looks great. Bixolon SLP‑DX220 (300 dpi); under $300, poly stock resists damp cases before 2 p.m. Need Wi‑Fi?

Building on @lmoore56, I’d look at the Zebra ZD411 with the peeler; it’s compact, under $500, and the “peel-and-present” makes date runs way faster on 2-inch stock. Small caveat: if your case is humid, go with synthetic direct‑thermal and bump darkness a notch or they’ll smear like a wet chalkboard. Do you need Wi‑Fi or will Ethernet at the vendor desk do?
